 Dr. Randol Womack is originally from Clovis, New Mexico. After completing his dental degree at the University of Missouri, Kansas City he finished a Pedodontic Internship at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY and then entered the Orthodontic Residency at Eastman, graduating in 1966 as a Certified Orthodontic Specialist.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and is past president of the Arizona Orthodontic Study Group. Dr. Womack was certified by the American Board of Orthodontics in 1974 and was selected to serve on the Align Technology Clinical Advisory Board in 2005.
After practicing orthodontics in Clovis, he moved to Phoenix in 1972. He was in continuous private orthodontic practice until he retired in 1997. In 1999, when the Invisalign® System was introduced, Dr. Womack returned to the private practice of orthodontics for children and adults, specializing in Invisalign.
Since that time, Dr. Womack has been a pioneer in the use of Invisalign. In May 2001, he was recognized as one of the largest users of this system in the U.S. Dr. Womack developed and patented the Invisalign IPR gauges which have become critical adjunctive instruments in assisting the Invisalign System to work accurately. He also produced an instructional video on Interproxmial Reduction in conjunction with Align Technology.
In 2002 Dr. Womack received the first ever "Invisalign Special Achievement Award" for his contributions to the advancement of the Invisalign System. He is a member of the Invisalign Alpha group and the Speakers Bureau. For the years 2002/2006 he has been a principal speaker and trainer for the Invisalign Provider Workshops and Summit meetings where he instructs other orthodontists on the application of the Invisalign System. He has provided education to orthodontists in the US and in Europe.
His continued commitment to quality orthodontic treatment and advancements in the practice of orthodontics has been recognized since 2002 when he was designated an ongoing member of the Align Technology's Century Club - the 100 top Invisalign providers in the world. Dr. Womack was awarded the Invisalign distinction of "Premier Provider" in 2005 and 2006 which includes only the top 5% of North American Invisalign practitioners. In 2007 and 2008 he was designated as an "Elite" Premier Provider which is given to the top 3% of Invisalign practitioners.
The implementation of the latest advances in treatment technology is a primary focus of his practice going into 2007. In addition to his Invisalign treatment, his current efforts are focused on two (2) other areas. The first is the low friction, self-ligating fixed appliance therapy with GAC's In-Ovation brackets. As a Laser Certified Professional, the second is the use of the Dental Diode Laser for tissue removal, tooth exposure and gum recontouring which reduces referrals to outside specialists and eliminates that extra cost.
Dr. Womack is married to Camille. They have 5 children and 8 grandchildren, 7 of whom live in Phoenix.
